NBA Live Mobile released world-wide on July 5th, 2016. I was the Supervising Development Director over a team being managed by the EA Red Crow studio in Prince Edward Island, Canada. I continued as the principal Development Director over Madden NFL Mobile while supervising this team during development, soft launch, and then world-wide launch. In June, a team was formed at Tiburon in Orlando, Florida, in order to take over the game once it was live. The Red Crow team did a fabulous job taking the Madden NFL Mobile code base and combining it with the NBA Live 09 Xbox 360 code base, which was ported to iOS & Android. The idea behind the game was to see if we could replicate the success of Madden, but on a game which has more of a global appeal. The Red Crow team took the best features from Madden Mobile and combined it with basketball gameplay. It was an incredible accomplishment and I’m very proud to have had a hand to bringing it to market and now in overseeing the live service.
